New Volvo XC40, XC60, and XC90 Trim Features

Coming in three model versions - XC40, XC60, and XC90 - Darien and Norwalk, CT drivers have a range of power, passenger space, tech, and safety features to select from. Starting with the XC40 (the smallest) and moving to the XC60 and XC90, New Canaan, CT drivers will likely find at least one version of this Volvo SUV to fit their needs. 

The XC40 and XC60 share the same selection of trims, while the XC90 adds one high end trim that is unique. The Momentum, R-Design, and Inscription are the first three trims available for all XC series vehicles. The XC90 adds the Excellence trim. Within each trim are three engine options which are indicated by: T4(only available on the XC40 model), T5, T6, and T8. The T4/T5 is the base engine followed by the T6 which offers a bit more power, and lastly at the top of the line is the T8 engine. It's important to note that the T5 comes in two versions; the T5 front-wheel drive and the T5 all-wheel drive version.

XC40 Trims

Coming in T4, T5 AWD engine options, the XC40 Momentum is technically the base trim option. If drivers opt for the T4 version the base engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 powerhouse that delivers up to 187 horsepower. 

Connecticut drivers that select the T5 AWD version will receive a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine that offers 248 horsepower. Notable features on each trim include:

• Momentum: Leather seating, a 12.3-inch digital dash display, a nine-inch touch screen, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and an eight-speak audio system. 
• R-Design: The R-Design is meant to have a sportier turn, and it shows with a standard sport chassis (for more nimble handling), 19-inch wheels, infotainment navigation functionality, an eight-way power-operated passenger seat, and LED fog lights.
• Inscription: If you're a Norwalk driver that selects this top of the line trim offering, you'll receive a panoramic sunroof, a crystal shift knob, driftwood inlays, plus other various interior aesthetic inclusions.

XC60 Trims

The XC60 offers drivers three power options starting with an available T5 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine (250 horsepower) that comes standard with the base Momentum. Jump to the T6 engine option and 

Greenwich drivers can select a 316 horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged/supercharged inline-4 engine. The top T8 engine option is a 2.0-liter turbocharged/supercharged inline-4 plug-in hybrid engine that kicks out a solid 400 horsepower. Notable features on each trim include:

• Momentum: Panoramic moonroof, LED headlights, dual-zone climate control, Apple CarPlay/ Android Auto connectivity, and a ten-speaker audio system all come standard with the Momentum.
• R-Design: Leather seating, blind spot monitoring, a harman/kardon audio system, and infotainment navigation functionality are included with the R-Design trim.
• Inscription: The top of the line trim adds driftwood inlays, quad-zone climate control, and lets Norwalk drivers add such available features as a Bowers & Wilkins audio system, heated rear seats, and an air-suspension system.

XC90 Trims

The XC90 T5 option is a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that offers 250 horsepower. The T6 version is a 2.0-liter supercharged/turbocharged inline-4 engine that puts out 316 horsepower, and the T8 offering is a hybrid 2.0-liter supercharged/turbocharged engine that has a net output of 400 horsepower. Notable features on each trim include:

• Momentum: The XC90 Momentum comes with a host of driver assistance features, leatherette upholstery, a panoramic moonroof, a nine-inch touch screen infotainment system, and a 10-speaker audio system that includes Apple CarPlay/ Android Auto functionality.
• R-Design: Leather upholstery interior, a harman/kardon audio system, a 12.3-inch digital dashboard, and larger wheels are all  included with the R-Design trim.
• Inscription: This trim offers Darien drivers Nappa leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, and comes with options to upgrade to a Bowers & Wilkins audio system and a heated steering wheel.
• Excellence: Truly the maximum offering of luxury, the Excellence trim offers seating for four passengers, comes with a rear-seat refrigerator, Orrefors crystal glasses, and folding tray tables.
