Leg 5 of the Volvo Ocean Race just finished, and everyone reached Brazil safe and sound. Well, except for one team whose mast broke, and had to quit.

This type of damage is not that unusual for the small, 8-man crew sailboats as they travel across the treacherous Southern Ocean all the way from New Zealand to South America.

From high winds, to tall waves, the environment is harsh and unrelenting in the Southern Ocean. Crews must be prepared to make at-sea repairs. This often involves crew members dangling precariously over the side of the boat.

Good thing you don't have to do that! If you need to have something repaired, or just want to make sure your Volvo is in ship-shape, all you need to do is make a service appointment at Volvo of Stamford. We'll have your vehicle running as smooth as the sea on a windless morning.

If you're in the market for a new Volvo, come down and take a test drive. Our knowledgeable staff will be happy to help match you with the car of your dreams.
